Inverter Air-conditioning provides you with a controllable compressor that allows you to dictate the exact amount of heating and cooling needed for the space.

Non-Inverter Air conditioning is a fixed heating and cooling system that is dictated by the power and the speed of the compressor.

Central Air-conditioning systems are designed to cool the entire building. A large compressor unit is located outside the building that allows refrigerant coils to blow cool air into the space. Central Air Conditioners are most commonly used in larger floor areas such as office buildings and malls due to their large ducting systems that run across, above the ceilings.

This indoor unit itself sits flush to the ceiling and distributes conditioned air through two to four sides of the unit. The outdoor unit (compressor) is mounted outside, either on a wall or on the roof of a building. This system is most commonly used in South African homes and small Offices as it provides enough coverage across the floor area much like the central air conditioner.

Split unit systems are more common in bedrooms and lounges but can be found in small office spaces and receptions. These units are attractive to spaces without ductwork or space for duct work. They function very similarly to your standard central air-conditioners, with a compressor/condenser situated on an exterior wall and an indoor air handler that acts as the output with in the room.
